July is BIPOC Mental Health Month. This is an important time to honor the strength, resilience, and distinct mental health journeys of Black, Indigenous, and people of color. According to Resources to Recover, BIPOC individuals are disproportionately affected by lack of access to quality health care, health insurance, and/or linguistically and culturally responsive health care.
At The Family Institute at Northwestern University, we recognize that the BIPOC community has a unique set of mental health challenges and needs. We have therapists that specialize in these needs, including racism and cultural issues.
