Dr. Sophia Odeh is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist specializing in comprehensive neuropsychological and developmental evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. She has extensive experience with a wide range of presenting concerns, including developmental disabilities, psychiatric conditions, and learning challenges. Dr. Odeh has a particular focus on evaluating presentations of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in individuals who are female assigned at birth and non-binary, helping to address the nuanced and often under-recognized presentations in these populations.
Dr. Odeh earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from DePaul University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her dissertation explored the sensory processing experiences of children and adolescents with ADHD. She completed specialized training in developmental and neuropsychological assessment at Rush NeuroBehavioral Center and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center’s Pediatric Developmental Center, where she became certified in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2).
Dr. Odeh further developed her clinical skills at South Campus Therapeutic Day School, providing evidence-based treatments to children and adolescents with social and emotional difficulties and collaborating closely with families and educators. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Franciscan Children’s in Boston, MA, where she conducted neuropsychological, developmental, and medical review team evaluations, in addition to providing individual and group therapy.
Dr. Odeh then pursued a two-year fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where she gained advanced expertise in the assessment and treatment of complex psychiatric and mood disorders.
