Bachelor of Social Work, Hope College
Jenny White, M.S.W., LCSW (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her master's in social work from the University of Illinois Chicago. To best serve her clients, she has obtained additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) to help support individuals and families heal from the effects of trauma and attachment issues.
Ms. White sees clients across the lifespan and specializes in working with members of the adoption constellation, college students, and emerging adults. She especially enjoys working with clients who are new to therapy; she seeks to create a comfortable environment where vulnerability, humor, empathy, and playfulness can co-exist.
In any given session, Ms. White draws from a variety of modalities that are attachment-based, trauma-informed, and focus on the mind/body connection. She practices from a psychodynamic approach and often takes time to explore with clients how past experiences may be impacting the present. She loves to collaborate with clients to help them find creative, personalized ways to engage their internal processes and participate in their own healing.
