Laura has worked for several years with the LGBTQIA+ community, as a member, they are passionate about working with the community to identify and to help clients live a more authentic life. They believe therapy works best when you enter a space where you feel comfortable to be vulnerable, and they strive to create that space together in session. Laura works from an intersectional lens, with a deep understanding for how our individual identities can shape our views of the world, and vice versa.
In treatment, Laura is client-centered in their approach, and they work collaboratively with clients to help them achieve their goals. They know each person comes to therapy with unique experiences and goals, and they bring curiosity, warmth, humor, and compassion to their sessions. Laura will explore how clients' past is showing up in their present, and work to reconcile what is keeping clients from living their most authentic life.
