There is a solid base of empirical evidence supporting that psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness-based cognitive interventions, and acceptance and commitment therapy effectively treat an array of conditions. Though Dr. Daniel Katz draws from these theoretical orientations, he believes the foundation of any effective treatment is fostering an in-depth understanding and appreciation for who the client is, what his or her problems are, and what is of true importance and significance in his or her life. Dr. Katz has special expertise in the treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction, grief and loss, couples issues, and emotional issues related to physical illness.
